Solar Carports
Walpole Commercial Solar Carport
BD completed the electrical construction for a commercial solar carport, connecting canopy-mounted generation to the property’s electrical system.
The Challenge
Much of the work took place below the parking area. Conduit routing, concrete structures, equipment locations, and conductor installation had to be coordinated before backfill and restoration.
BD’s Scope of Work
- Underground duct banks and raceways
- Equipment bases, grounding, and bonding
- DC collection, conductor pulls, and terminations
- Yaskawa Solectria inverters and AC distribution
- Interconnection and commissioning support
The Result
The installation turns existing parking space into a solar generation asset while preserving its use below the canopy. BD delivered the electrical infrastructure connecting the arrays, inverters, and facility distribution.
