Somerville 400A Service Upgrade & ADU
BD upgraded a two-family property’s electrical service from 200A to 400A and wired a new accessory dwelling unit.
The Challenge
Adding a third living space changed the property’s electrical and metering needs. The new service had to integrate with the existing older building and provide a clean, organized installation.
BD’s Scope of Work
- 200A-to-400A service upgrade
- New multifamily metering equipment
- Dedicated ADU metering
- Service entrance and distribution modifications
- Complete electrical wiring for the new ADU
The Result
The completed service and distribution support the existing two-family residence and the added ADU. Coordinating the service upgrade and dwelling-unit wiring created an electrical foundation for the expanded property.
